Our first transatlantic exhibition was a milestone: we shipped and showcased our machine live in the U.S. for the very first time. Hosted by Capital Mailing Equipment, we ran successful demos, overcame technical challenges, and connected with many inspiring industry professionals. The event gave us confidence, valuable feedback, and stronger partnerships, a true turning point for Door2World.

✈️ Looking Back: Our First Transatlantic Exhibition at Printing United 2023 – Atlanta 🇺🇸

It’s amazing how fast time flies. It’s already been two years since we packed our gear, booked our flights, and made the journey across the Atlantic to take part in Printing United 2023 in Atlanta. What seemed like a bold step at the time has become one of the most defining and rewarding experiences in our company’s journey so far.

This event wasn’t just another date on our calendar, it was a milestone.

From Las Vegas to Atlanta: A New Chapter

We had already dipped our toes into the U.S. expo waters the year before at Printing United 2022 in Las Vegas, where we introduced our machine to the American market for the very first time. But back then, it was more of a “soft launch”, we didn’t actually bring the machine itself. Instead, we relied on presentations and visuals to spark interest and start conversations.

Atlanta 2023, however, was different.
This was the
first time we physically shipped our machine overseas, and the first time we exhibited on another continent, with the actual hardware present, up and running, and printing live for everyone to see.

Making It Happen: The Journey & The Team

A team of four of us traveled to Atlanta to represent our company, support the setup, run live demos, and engage with visitors during the three-day exhibition. The days were long, the schedule was packed, and every hour brought new energy and momentum.

We were incredibly fortunate to be hosted at the booth of our U.S. distributor, Capital Mailing Equipment. Their generosity, professionalism, and warm support made all the difference. Not only did they give us space to present the machine on their stand, but they also provided custom envelopes for our live print demos.

Before leaving Europe, we worked on creating a custom color profile, tailored to the exact material they supplied. That attention to detail paid off, the print quality was excellent, and the colors were spot-on.

Overcoming Challenges, Building Confidence

Of course, no exhibition comes without its technical challenges. One of the key hurdles we had to tackle was integrating Capital Mailing Equipment’s feeder and stacker system with our own machine, which was running in offline mode. It required some careful planning, on-site adjustments, and lots of teamwork, but in the end, it came together perfectly.

We ran frequent live demos, showcasing different design applications and giving visitors a hands-on look at the capabilities of our solution. There was a constant flow of traffic at the booth, not just for our machine, but for the full range of equipment on display.

What stood out most, though, were the genuine conversations. We met so many interesting people from different corners of the print world, some with very specific technical questions, others simply curious about new technologies. We walked away not only with valuable feedback, but also with inspiring ideas and potential use cases we hadn’t considered before.

Grateful, Inspired, and Looking Ahead

As we look back, Printing United 2023 in Atlanta was more than just a trade show for us, it was a turning point. It gave us confidence, validation, and a deeper sense of connection with the broader printing community.

💙 To the entire team, and Capital Mailing Equipment, thank you.
You were the cornerstone of this success, and we’re truly grateful for the partnership, the hospitality, and the belief you showed in us.

We’re proud of what we accomplished together in Atlanta, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to return to the U.S., build new relationships, and keep sharing what we’re so passionate about.

Until then, we’ll carry these experiences, and the many lessons learned, with us.

With appreciation,
The Door2World Team
